This patented heat defuser will help eliminate your 16" diameter smoker's "hot spot" associated with all brands of Offset Firebox Smokers — and it will expand your cooking area. This specialized 3/16" steel plate with graduated holes helps to lower the temperature of the first 12" of the cooking chamber — and raise the temperature of rest of smoker. It also helps reduce the amount of rotating meat in a full smoker. This 16" convection plate features 3/16" steel - 21 1/4" long x 13 1/2" wide x 2 1/4" high with a 45-degree bend. Drop-in style; no assembly or modifications required. Fits on sides of the smoking chamber curve.
